Marcy Flores grew up in Geyserville and is a proud Chicana woman, the daughter of Mexican immigrants and mother of two young children. Marcy’s commitment to her roots and her community is unwavering. As the Executive Director of Corazón Healdsburg, she channels her understanding of community needs into transformative action.

Since joining Corazón in 2019, Marcy has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s trajectory, leaving an indelible mark on its impact. Her leadership during the Kincade Fire ensured families and fire victims received essential support, including access to housing and financial assistance. Prior to assuming her current role, Marcy also spearheaded the Family Resource Center, cultivated academic development initiatives, and provided strategic direction as the director of programs and interim executive director.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Marcy remains deeply rooted in her cultural traditions. She shares her passion for tradition through teaching Ballet Folklórico, actively engages in sports within her community, and serves as a board member for the Healdsburg Education Foundation. Marcy previously served as the 4th District Commissioner for the Community Advisory Council through the Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach (IOLERO), Board Member for Alliance Medical Center, Commissioner and Vice Chair for Parks and Recreation through the City of Healdsburg and member of the Steering Committee through the Hispanic Chamber of Young Professionals.

Through Marcy’s extensive involvement in Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlán (M.E.Ch.A.) and her educational journey at Sonoma State University where she studied Chicano and Latino Studies and Early childhood Education, her experiences and learnings ignited and fueled her passion towards advocacy, cultural education and social justice. Marcy is committed to amplifying the community voice and strength and embodies the spirit of service, dedication, and empowerment.
