Aarón Zavala, MPA, MUP, brings a wealth of experience in public administration and urban planning to his role as Senior Management Analyst in the City Manager’s Office for Petaluma, CA. He has held various positions, including roles in Fresno County, Mesquite, TX, and San Bernardino, CA, before returning to Petaluma.

Aarón holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Sonoma State University, a Master’s in Public Administration from California State University, Fresno, and an Executive Master’s in Urban Planning from USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy. He completed the Local Governance Summer Institute at Stanford in 2023 and holds professional certificates from ICMA and Pepperdine University’s Davenport Institute. Aarón’s dedication extends beyond his professional life, demonstrated by his involvement in organizations like Los Cien and the Leadership Institute on Race, Equity, and Inclusion.

He serves on the Board of Directors for LGHN and MMANC, showcasing his commitment to community and professional development. Aarón, a Sonoma County native, enjoys spending time with his family and remains devoted to improving Petaluma’s community as his hometown.
